Good news today? Operasi Patuh Jaya

Jakarta Police launches an operation called Operasi Patuh Jaya today, targeting to increase the citizens abidance to traffic regulations. A 250 thousand rupiahs fine for pedestrians jaywalking is the highlight addition of this otherwise common operation. Police officers now can charge pedestrians for not crossing the road legally and fine them a great deal of money. Let's just hope it doesn't get too usual over time and then it goes back to business as usual, the same old Jakarta traffic. Have your fingers crossed.
